Blanco opens in Peoria, Arizona

Blanco Cocina + Cantina is open for business, just steps away from the Peoria Sports Complex.

“A longstanding request we get from Arizona residents is to expand to the West Valley, and we are happy to announce that the time has come,” said Sam Fox, founder of Fox Restaurant Concepts.

Created by Fox Restaurant Concepts, Blanco Cocina + Cantina’s Sonoran-style Mexican cuisine offers a variety of food options, as well as margaritas and cocktails. Most known for its tacos and tequila, the location is ideal for any casual or formal dining experiences.

“Blanco’s fun and energetic atmosphere is the perfect place for our guests to enjoy Mexican food favorites and relax with great margaritas,” Fox said.

In addition, guests can expect several signature dishes while dining, such as tiger shrimp fajitas, barbecue pork tacos with roasted corn slaw, pickled onion, and crema fresca, and twists on classics like roasted poblano chile and tomato cheese crisp and the short rib machaca chimichanga.

The facility itself has indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor providing a view of the half-moon shaped concourse which offers a lawn for residents to enjoy.

The restaurant joins a duo of highly anticipated amenities — Postino and North Italia — just outside left field stadium boundary of the Peoria Sports Complex. With these now located in Peoria, Mayor Jason Beck’s visions of pushing economic development and keeping residents within the city are now even more attainable.

“We're extremely proud to have (the restaurants) in the area,” he said. “Honestly, just the West Valley in general is going to really change…this is a $20-plus million investment in the city of Peoria… I’ve been to a lot of restaurant launches. I have never seen anything quite like this. So again, you guys really set the tone.”

Added North Italia’s regional manager, Antonia Wagner, “As a Peoria resident, I can be a true testament to how necessary this complex these restaurants truly are to this community. We are so excited to spend the rest of our existence serving this community.

“Everyone has just been raving just the views the grand open space. They're excited to see Blanco open today. Thank you for having us as part of your community. Thank you to the mayor, council members, the Peoria Chamber of Commerce and the city of Peoria. We look forward to serving you.”

With Blanco Cocina + Cantina and North Italia open for business, Postino is still to come, with a set opening date for January.
