Kaluz in Pembroke Pines

Kaluz Restaurant will expand in Broward County with a new Pembroke Pines outpost.

Kaluz aims to build a 9,949-square-foot establishment with a 730-square-foot covered patio on a piece of land located south of Pines Blvd. and west of S.W. 106 Ave. Boston-based TA Pines City Center II LLC is the owner of the parcel, according to the site plan.

“We look forward to serving the community of Pembroke Pines and hope to have construction started this summer,” Kaluz’s owner David Baldwin told the Business Journal. “Our plan is to open hopefully in the second quarter of 2025.”

PGAL, a Boca Raton-based design firm, is the architect on the project. The Pembroke Pines restaurant will feature gray stone and wood finishes. Kaluz’s civil engineer and land planner is Flynn Engineering, a company based in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Fort Lauderdale-based EcoPlan is the landscape architect.

Kaluz Restaurant originated in Argentina. It entered the South Florida market in 2013 with a waterfront restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Kaluz, which serves what it calls “new American fare," has since expanded to Plantation and Wellington. The Pines City Center location will be Kaluz’s fourth outpost.
