Amazonico’s U.S. Debut
A new culinary institution, Amazónico, opens its doors in Miami’s bustling Brickell scene. Brought to the city by D.ream International, Amazónico marries Latin American cuisine with European culture, which has made the restaurant successful abroad in London, Madrid, Monte-Carlo and Dubai.
Cementing itself within the city, the restaurant spans three immersive floors, offering a multi-sensory experience under one roof. Inspired by 1930s Brazil, the energy intensifies with each floor. On the ground floor, guests can enjoy an open-air kitchen, showcasing chef Sandro Silva’s menu of ancestral dishes. Reinterpreted into refined and shareable dishes, each menu item is rooted in Brazilian traditions. Dine on highlights such as arroz chaufa made with red, black and white whole grain rice, duck breast and a fried egg or lubina al espeto, line-caught sea bass cooked over open fire. Regional dishes such as picanha rodizio, entraña and wagyu de bife, explicitly designed for the Miami location, add to the magic and allure of the restaurant.
Designed by creative force Lázaro Rosa Violán–the designer behind all locations—the Miami destination reaches new heights. The result is a space that feels intimate, complete with open-air layouts. Lush textures, volcanic stone, tropical woods and striking architechture envelope each floor, nodding to Latin American modernism and as guests ascend the mirrored staircase to the second-floor Bar & Lounge, energy pulses. Complete with live music and exotic cocktails made with rare spirits, the second floor also hosts a sushi counter serving crudo, nigiri and maki. Diners can continue up to the crown jewel, the third-floor rooftop offering panoramic skyline views of the city.
