Beverly Rafael, president and chief executive officer of RCC Associates has received an Excalibur award.

The Excalibur awards, recognizing business achievement and civic contribution in South Florida, were presented at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Raphael, 59, is chief executive of RCC Associates Inc., a Deerfield Beach-based general contracting firm that under her tenure has become a top retail builder in the nation. She created a niche in restaurant construction with clients including The Cheesecake Factory, Maggiano's Little Italy and Benihana. She also is involved in Junior Achievement and a supporter of Kids at Home, Gilda's Club and other charitable and community organizations. She thanked her team, saying, "Because of their faith and support, not only does RCC exist today, but it has been able to retain leadership and respect in our industry." See video.

Beverley Raphael, President of Deerfield Beach based RCC Associates Inc, has been named Retail Contracting Executive of the Year by Retail Construction Magazine. Raphael was honored at the Retail Construction Expo's 2004 Industry Achievement Awards in Atlanta. RCC enjoyed its most successful year ever in 2003, with revenues increasing from $22 million in 2002 to $34 million.

RCC chosen to build Grand Lux Café
DEERFIELD BEACH – The restaurant construction division for South Florida-based RCC Associates Inc. has been selected for the buildout of a Grand Lux Café for the California-based Cheesecake Factory Restaurants Inc. The 15,523sf Grand Lux Café will be at the Galleria in Dallas. Completion is scheduled for November. RCC also was selected to build the newest location for Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant chain at Kenwood Towne Center in Cincinnati. The restaurant will total 14,156sf. A September opening is planned.
