RCC Associates Rebounds in 2011 With New Construction
SOUTH FLORIDA—JULY, 2011—Delivering buildout construction for consumer driven industries such as retail, restaurants and hospitality, RCC Associates has been seen an economic barometer indicator for better times ahead.
The longtime South Florida based contractor, which is heading into its 40th year, may just be the harbinger of good news with a healthy number of new restaurant and retail contracts under its belt as it heads into the second half of the year.
Company President and CEO Beverly Raphael said the company, which has built more than 1,500 projects in 25 states, is heading into the second half of 2011 with more than a dozen new restaurants, numerous retail and bank projects and upcoming work for two iconic hotels in Miami-Dade’s historic South Beach already on the books.
“We’ve notched some 27 projects for the first half of the year, and business development looks bright for the balance of 2011,” said Ms. Raphael, who was recently inducted into the Nova Southeastern University Huizenga Business School’s Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. “We are cautiously optimistic, but the signs are that restaurants, banks, retailers and hoteliers are moving forward with expansion, weather it be new construction or renovation.”
Consistently ranked as one of the leading buildout contractors in the county, RCC has specialized in retail, restaurants, country clubs, sport facilities, spas, offices and banks. It has recently announced it has formed a Hospitality Division to add to that list—a result of past specialty construction for a few hoteliers and resorts and several upcoming new projects.
Among its many clients are The Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang’s, Bongo’s Cuban Café at Seminole Hard Rock, Louis Vuitton, Victoria’s Secret, H&M, Sun Life Stadium, BankUnited, Wachovia Bank and the Fisher Island Beach Club. The California-based Cheesecake Factory has tapped into RCC’s talented construction team 50 times over the course of many years. RCC is building two new Cheesecake Factory projects now underway in Pembroke Pines, Florida and San Antonio, Texas.
Joining that restaurant list of new clients in the second half of 2011 are Bravo, The Yardhouse, Mario’s of Boca, Capow, Panera Bread, Billy Stone Crab, Cheddar’s Casual Café, Solo Cantina, Tony Roma’s Express, and Taco Vida.
